This course provides the skills to perform Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation in case of emergency.
This course provides an emergency first aid response in an institute and care setting. Generally suitable for educators and support staff working within an education and care setting including childcare and schools who may be required to respond to a first aid emergency. This unit of competency has been approved by ACECQA and meets the requirements of “First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis”

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – Adult, Child & Infant
Wounds & Bleeds management / Shock
Automated External Defibrillation – AED
Poisons , Bites & Stings
Diabetes / Epilepsy / Fainting / Drowning
Workplace and community considerations
Debriefing / Stress Management / Psychological impact on Carers and Children
Basic Life Support – DRABCD
Airway Obstruction / Asthma / Anaphylaxis
Communicate details of the incident
Heart Attack / Stroke
Spinal Injury / Head injury / Chest injury / Burns
Fractures, Dislocation, Sprain and Strain
Cultural Awareness
Legal Issues / Infection Control
After successful completion of the course, the participant will receive a Statement of Attainment for the nationally accredited course.
Safe Work Australia recommends that First Aid Qualifications are renewed every 3 years.
Safe Work Australia and the Australian Resuscitation Council recommend that CPR training be undertaken annually.
